  1. I am rooting for Chile. I know they do not have much change when there is Brazil, Spain and England in the picture but hey... I always go for the underdog.

  11. Fun sport to play, boring as hell to watch, at least on television. I can understand why there are so many soccer hooligans who raise holy hell and engage in property destruction. If its as boring to watch in person as it is on the telly how could they not? After watching that shit for so long you get so frustrated waiting for something to happen you have to take it out on somebody or something.

Playing it, now that's a different story. It's a real rush.

  13. Plenty around the world would disagree its boring as hell to watch, considering football is the world's most popular sport by viewing figures and attendance at actual matches.

And there aren't so many football hooligans I'm afraid.

Just because it doesn't fit into the high-scoring pattern of American sports, doesn't mean it's boring, esp. as many Us sports only have impact in the US, as many find the repetitive nature of those sports to be, you've guessed it: Boring as hell.
