Maryam Namazie and Mina Ahadi: Women of the Year

Maryam Namazie and Mina Ahadi, have been selected as two of the top 45 women of the year by Elle Quebec, for their work in the Councils of Ex-Muslims.

  1. Although I don't agree with all of her stances, one has to admire her courage. She certainly has done a lot of good work for Human rights.

  3. A well deserved recognition for Maryam, Ren. Then again you know what I think of her!

    Actually the last time I saw her on tv was a few months ago. She was involved in a debate on the BBC2 programme Newsnight, along with Benazir Bhutto.

  4. Jams; I would loved to have heard that discussion.

    I don't agree with her position on Pakistan. Everything she says about Bhutto are true, still groups like hers are best served working in the PPP. It like the Labor Party in the UK. You might not like what it does, but it beats starting a new party.
