Suffolk has a varied demographic, there are many Portugese, Syhletis, Bengalis etc living in Suffolk. The author admitted on 'Socialist Unity' that he is the only non-Brit living in his particular village and he feels isolated. That hardly counts as an objective statement. I agree that that does not affec tthe justice of Dana Ali's case, but I think readers should be aware that Suffolk is not some boondocks somewhere. I'd also like to point out that this stinking neo-liberal Government that we have the misfortune to endure in this country has been busily privatising the Prisons Service. Is this Detention Centre a privatized facility or not?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11704331.post-67215710357952326012009-08-24T17:50:55.582-05:002009-08-24T17:50:55.582-05:00Desert Mystery: This is not having to spend an ext...Desert Mystery: This is not having to spend an extra day at the airport. I think there was a case of a mentally disabled Hispanic US Citizen that spent 3 months roaming the streets of Juarez before someone realized the mistake. There were also a couple of Arizona Navajos that were deported by Immigration & Customs Enforcement because they couldn't read that they were signing a deportation order.

The 3rd world doesn't have a monopoly on bureaucratic screw ups.
