The local Iranian Marxists began to see the light once Khomeini's goons (including the current pres, Almonds-in-a jam) started putting bullets in the back of their heads.

But you'd rather believe Iran's Marxists were nothing but Soviet 'tools'. Whatever floats your boat.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11704331.post-90092449032434264262008-05-20T16:03:00.000-05:002008-05-20T16:03:00.000-05:00For those who are not aware, when the Iranian revo...For those who are not aware, when the Iranian revolution occurred, it wasnt simply the Islamists... it was the marxists , well mixture of communists and stalinist loyalists... however, Iran witnessed the establishment of 9 Soviets till the USSR demolished that by ordering the party leaders to align with Khomeini.

Now in regards to Lebanon... the Opposition tried to transform what is happening as the Poor versus Rich.... this doesnt hold, Hezbollah and Future Movement are both financially strong organizations. There are also a huge number of the poor on both sides. Sectarianism failed, and we as the left-wing activists are stuck to face all of these, and the old-school leftists inherited from stalinist Russia as well...

We almost were successful when we almost got the implementation of Civil Marriage in Lebanon... although I recieved a nice scar on my forehead... but the battle is still on-going....

Now for the sake objectivity, some people tried to depict Future Movement as US agents, and Hezbollah as Iranian, I dont believe that is the case when you have about 2.2 to 2.6 million Lebanese supporters scattered between both.

Best Regards,
MFLMarxistFromLebanonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02742943269564177293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11704331.post-81250969462433056212008-05-18T20:49:00.000-05:002008-05-18T20:49:00.000-05:00FJ: I would bet MZ would agree.FJ: I would bet MZ would agree.Frank Partisanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03536211653082893030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11704331.post-88760091790716397872008-05-17T13:20:00.000-05:002008-05-17T13:20:00.000-05:00How'd he get that way? How'd he get that way?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11704331.post-84538011065525643822008-05-16T20:27:00.000-05:002008-05-16T20:27:00.000-05:00FJ: Mad Zionist is funny. Pakistan an Islamic country, could spread revolution throughout South Asia and the Middle East. It could break down borders, as the Indian border.

That is a good point about Iran.Frank Partisanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03536211653082893030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11704331.post-28860269796609018862008-05-14T23:43:00.000-05:002008-05-14T23:43:00.000-05:00I second what Celticfire said. A working class revolution there would really help bring down the Islamist reaction in the rest of the area and inspire the people like the movements in Bolivia and Venezuela are doing in Latin America. Iran has a large working class and a history of forming workers councils.Larry Gambonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04965037776214596919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11704331.post-61401858767530941882008-05-14T19:24:00.000-05:002008-05-14T19:24:00.000-05:00This is good analysis Ren.
